Size: Total length 110mm. Buckle width 25mm. Belt width 15mm x 1mm.
Weight: 9.17g

Notes: Plain undecorated D ring buckle with decorated plate and long leather belt fragment. Belt plate has cross hatching lines on the lower part and two concave arches at the belt joint. The pin is broken near the buckle. The solo rivet remains intact. There is one pin for a belt mount which is missing and several holes to indicate further mounts were present when in use.

Object: Buckle loop with belt fragment
Culture: Medieval. 14th-15th century
Country/Area of Origin: Netherlands
Material: Copper alloy, leather
Size: Buckle width 28mm. Belt width 19mm. 85mm total length
Weight: 7.32g

Notes: Buckle is complete with oval frame and two protruding shoulders. The pin is original and in tact and moves freely. Two rivets remain. There is evidence of stamped lettering on the leather of the belt itself. The lettering is unclear at this point. CT digital imaging has been aquired for further evaluation.
